Provides lots of support information and a UK online forum. You have to be a support group member to register for the online Forum so contact the support group first. The UK support group is not part of WMUK, but works closely with us.
IWMF
Based Sarasota, Florida. A powerhouse behind much current WM research. Has a comprehensive international website and very efficiently will mail a newly diagnosed pack to UK without charge. They will really appreciate donations and subscriptions to cover the cost of supporting UK patients. WMUK works closely with the IWMF.
They run a yearly Education Forum in the USA (San Diego in 2013) where UK patients are very welcome and sponsor research in WM and biennial European meetings. They have a worldwide list of support groups. Their Talkline is an invaluable source of information and their magazine 'The Torch' is excellent- available preferably online or postally in English (and French). European Waldenstrom Network - Umbrella organisation of European Support Groups. Lobby for treatment, encourage formation of support groups and advocacy at European Level. Promote joining clinical trials.
