BAKE4RORY 7th December

15-Nov-2017

Join in with Bake4Rory on the 7th December at Broadcasting House by buying a limited edition Rory bake kit of apron, wooden spoon and tea towel with the original logo . Have a baking party and join in on social media. The kit is an ideal and unique Christmas present.

Bake4Rory is on Thursday 7 December 2017 at Broadcasting House, organised and run by broadcaster Susan Rae and the lovely team at Radio 4. Last year they raised over £4000. We want to beat that sum and you can help us do this by joining in.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the Bake4Rory pinny last year we’ve created a Bake4Rory kit you can buy. So, what better time to get together with family and friends and host your very own Bake4Rory from the comfort of your home?   The Kit costs £22.95 including postage and packing and contains an apron, t-towel, wooden spoon and a sponsorship form- you can order on the site here.  Each item, individually crafted by Friends of Rory is customised with the logo and supplied at cost so we can raise as much for Rory Morrison Clinical Registry research. Why not get in a stock for unique Christmas presents with a story to tell? Only limited numbers will be produced. The current set is in blue as shown, but we hope to have some variants in the near future, and to have them available via our new Ebay Store- so come back later and see what has changed if you don't like blue!

We have a signed copy of Eddie Mair’s book to give away- details below. To win all you need to do is send us your #Bake4Rory pictures. It can be of cake - if you’ve made one or are eating one for us - your cake sale - if you’ve held one - or of you in your #Bake4Rory apron. Tweet them or post them on Facebook. You must use the #Bake4Rory hashtag (otherwise we can’t find them). We will choose our favourite at the end of #Bake4Rory on Thursday.

'A Good Face for Radio: Confessions of a Radio Head' by Eddie Mair
For nearly twenty years he has been at the helm of Radio 4’s PM: a nightly news round up that means Eddie works for just one hour a day, giving him plenty time to knock together these diaries

We hope to keep you up to date on the day by posting on our Facebook and Twitter pages
