We're delighted that the Government has agreed to prioritise the vaccination of adults living with adults who are immunosuppressed, including WM patients, in England.
Adults aged 16 or older will be prioritised alongside priority group 6. This new guidance comes in light of research suggesting that the COVID-19 may reduce the risk of a vaccinated person passing the illness onto others. By vaccinating household members, the hope is that this will limit the spread of COVID-19 to people who are at more at risk of serious disease, thus improving the protection already provided by the first dose of the vaccine.
