Walk for Waldenstrom’s this Spring and every penny you raise can help fund the world’s only nurse-led Support Line. Together, we can ensure our expert nurses can continue to provide a life-line of support so no one has face WM and LPL alone.
How you get involved is completely up to you. You could challenge yourself to walk around your local park every morning, invite friends for an afternoon ramble, or take on five 5K runs.
What matters is that you spread the word, encourage donations and make every step count.
Everyone’s WM and LPL journey is different, so you can choose a challenge as unique as you are. It may be a walk around the park or a 5K run.
Register to take part. We’ll then send you a free WMUK t-shirt to wear along with tips and encouragement over the next couple of months.
Set up your fundraising page and invite your contacts to support you this Spring. Every penny will keep our vital Support Line up and running.

Our small team of nurses are often the first port of call for patients who are reeling from a diagnosis they’re struggling to understand.
We’re also a sounding board for those who want to prepare for a clinical appointment where important decisions about their care and treatment need to be made.
But we provide emotional support too.
The team has helped mums diagnosed with WM share the news with their children and listened to loved ones overwhelmed with information after a clinical appointment.
No one else provides this level of in-depth, personalised support for those living with WM and LPL.
In the last year alone, demand for the service has increased by 58% with more than 218 people calling or emailing us for support.
Every WM or LPL journey is different, and every conversation we have through the Support Line is unique.
Now we want to make sure we can sustain this vital service, so even more patients, families, and loved ones can access support in the year ahead.
“Thankfully, I also found WMUK and spoke to Alison on the Support Line, and she was incredible. She explained what was happening to my cells in clear terms and, more importantly, she just got it.” Rachel, living with WM.
There is no set distance for Walk for Waldenstrom’s – you can choose a goal that feels right for you. Whether you’d like to walk a mile a day, complete a 5K, take on a marathon, or simply enjoy a few gentle walks each week, every step counts.
The challenge is designed to be flexible, so you can take part in a way that suits your fitness level, schedule, and personal goals.
The easiest way to collect donations is through your JustGiving fundraising page. You can share the page with friends, family, and colleagues to encourage support for your challenge.

All money raised through Walk for Waldenstrom’s will help us and our expert nurses to provide support and information to people with WM and LPL.
The Support Line is available Monday to Thursday, from 9am to 5pm, offering practical information, guidance, and support for anyone affected by Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinaemia.
Support is also available online via email at support@wmuk.org.uk.
Walk for Waldenstrom’s 2026 runs from 17 April to 17 June.
During this time, we are aiming to raise £15,000 to help keep the WM Support Line open and available to those who need it.
You can complete your challenge at any point during the event period, whether that means doing it all in one day or spreading your walks out over several weeks.
