Meet Jo Ham

Jo Ham Psychotherapist
Jo is a qualified psychotherapist who will be running WMUK's mindfulness sessions.

Jo is an experienced Human Givens therapist, supervisor and trainer, who enjoys passing on coping skills in her lively and practical workshops, covering topics such as emotional resilience, creative ways to resolve trauma, and communications skills. She enjoys supporting people to make lasting changes in their lives so that they can move forward more positively.

She runs a busy private psychotherapy practice online, and offers Human Givens supervision, training and executive coaching to therapists and senior professionals in different sectors. For several years Jo has worked as a Clinical Supervisor, offering tailored support to specialist clinical and non-clinical teams working in cancer charities. Jo also runs a wide range of training courses in different settings, from schools to national charity conferences. She has also worked as a Tutor with Human Givens College.

Jo has been quoted as a well-being expert in Marie Claire, on BBC Radio 4’s PM, and in British Vogue advising on the importance of self-care. In addition to her psychotherapy training from Nottingham Trent University and Human Givens College, Jo holds a First Class honours degree in Hispanic Studies (Spanish and Portuguese) from the University of Manchester, as well as a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing.

In her previous life she was Senior Global Marketing Manager with a leading educational publisher, as well as working for The Open University. She is also a passionate linguist and supporter of environmental causes and is currently building a house on a sustainable co-housing development in Bristol.
