WMUK Regional Patient Summit
Northern Ireland

We’re delighted to be hosting our very first WM Patient Summit in Northern Ireland this October.

As a smaller WM community here, this is a wonderful chance to come together, share experiences, support one another, and strengthen our voice.

We’re excited to welcome two leading experts:

  • Dr Oonagh Sheehy, Consultant Haematologist at Belfast City Hospital
  • Dr Barry Quinn, Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor at Queen’s University Belfast

They’ll be offering valuable insights into the WM landscape in Northern Ireland including how WM is managed and treatment options currently available. We’ll also explore how you can get the most from the relationship you have with your clinical nurse specialist and wider healthcare team, around matters that mean the most to you and your WM.

Alongside these sessions, there will be plenty of time to connect – whether that’s chatting with our experts, meeting the WMUK team, or spending time with fellow WMers who truly understand what you’re going through.

You’ll also have the chance to explore the wider support available from fantastic local organisations, including Cancer Focus NI, MOVE Charity, and Advice Space.

This is your opportunity to gain practical knowledge, feel empowered in your care, and build meaningful connections within the WM community in Northern Ireland.
