Deputy CEO
Kat has been working in the charity sector since 2013, joining WMUK in 2020. She’s now Deputy CEO, responsible for the smooth running of our operations behind the scenes, and overseeing the production of our accredited information for patients and families. Kat also looks after WMUK’s advocacy work, using data to identify gaps in care, to raise the WM voice and bring about change at a policy level.
Contributions
Kat has organised multiple virtual and in person patient summits, bringing together the WM community to provide expert information and personal support. Kat was responsible for obtaining, and now maintaining, the WMUK’s accredited status with the PIF TICK, showing that our information is accurate, up to date and accessible. She now uses her varied experience in the charity sector to support the Board of Trustees and building connections with other organisations to raise the WM voice.
Experience
Kat has spent over a decade working in small health charities, and has built a wide range of knowledge working in these fast-paced and challenging environments from fundraising and communications through to writing information, translating research and managing operations. She now puts this experience to good use managing WMUK’s operations and governance.
