Rachael Harris

Rachael has spent more than 15 years working across oncology and haematology, supporting patients through every stage of their cancer journey. After qualifying in 2010, she built her career across chemotherapy units, acute wards, and cancer research, before becoming a haematology clinical nurse specialist (CNS).

In recent years, Rachael expanded her expertise into palliative care, working in a hospice environment where she provided compassionate, person-centred support to individuals and their loved ones. That experience reinforced her belief in the importance of holistic care — focusing not only on treatment but also on wellbeing, dignity, and personal wishes.

Now based in Harrogate, Rachael brings this combined expertise to her role as WMUK Support Nurse, managing the Support Line and helping patients access the right care and information. She dedicated to ensuring WMUK’s community feels supported, informed, and cared for every step of the way.
