New Waldenstrom's macroglobulinaemia Guidelines published

Guidelines for the diagnosis and management of Waldenstrom's macroglobulinaemia (WM)

The British Society for Haematology have released a new set of guidelines for the diagnosis and management of Waldenstrom's Macroglobulnaemia (WM).

The Guidelines have been written with the objective of providing clear guidance to healthcare professionals when it comes to caring for people living with the disease. The first joint authors were Dr Dima El-Sharkawi and Professor Guy Pratt - both WMUK trustees - who worked with a number of other clinicians to put together the document.

Guidelines like these are extremely important for people living with WM. Having a written standard of procedures to diagnose and manage treatment for the disease means that patients can expect the same care no matter where they are treated in the country.
