Double Your Donations This Christmas

Help us keep the world’s ONLY WM Support Line open.

This Christmas, your gifts to WMUK will be DOUBLED when you donate via the Big Give webpage between 3-10 December.

Together, we want to raise £50,000 to ensure the future of our Support Line.

In the last six months, demand for our Support Line has surged by 188%.

Your donation will ensure we can keep the Support Line open and develop it to support all patients and families affected by WM.

How Does the Big Give Work?

The Big Give is an online giving campaign, where donations are match-funded to support charities like WMUK.

We need to raise £25,000 via the Big Give webpage between 3-10 December 2024.

Once we reach this target, we become eligible for match funding. This means your donation will be doubled so £25 becomes £50, and £50 becomes £100.

With your donations and match funding combined, we’ll reach our goal of £50,000.

What Your Support Will Fund

Being diagnosed with WM can be frightening and very isolating. This was made clear in our recent Big WM Survey, where both patients and their loved ones told us about the anxiety they face. More than a third of those who responded had even given up doing things they love doing since their diagnosis.

WM is so rare that many medical professionals have limited knowledge of it

Some don’t even know how to pronounce it. More than a quarter of newly diagnosed patients reported receiving no take-home information, leaving them in the dark about managing their condition.

This is why our Support Line is so essential.

It is a completely free service to enable patients and their family members to tap into expert knowledge to ask questions, find reassurance, and get signposting to other support and services.

We have great plans to make it even better - by adding the following:

Online booking

So you’re not stuck in a queue and can schedule a call when it’s convenient for you.

Evening support

So you don’t have to book time off work, and have greater choice in when you speak to someone.

Translation service

So we can reach more people who currently can’t access advice to live well with WM.

We're here for you

Our Support Line will be open on Monday 9am-2pm and Thursday 1pm – 5pm – the number is 0300 373 8500. If you require support outside of those times, please email support@wmuk.org.uk we aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours.
