This free guide is for people living with Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinaemia (WM) and lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL), and for their family and friends. WM and LPL are rare, slow-growing types of blood cancer. The guide explains the treatment options used in the UK, from active monitoring (watch and wait) through to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted drugs and newer approaches. It also explains how to prepare for treatment and what to expect from it.
It also offers practical advice on managing side effects, keeping well during treatment, taking part in clinical trials for WM & LPL, and finding support. WMUK wrote the guide with expert healthcare professionals and people living with WM and LPL.
